Yes, this week’s newsletter is late due to the fact the Social was a nice time and I just didn’t want to get my ass out of bed Sunday morning! There is nothing like a Sunday morning in a hotel suite, room service, and a woman to cuddle with. Honestly, would you want to go home and write a newsletter ?

I’d like to thank those of you who committed to coming to the Social and then followed through on that. Frankly, we had a really nice time and I loved meeting my clients. QUICK HOTEL RANT:

I resent having to ask a four star hotel what is and is not included in the cost of the room. I’m not cheap but, when I pay over $250.00 a night, I don’t expect to be charged an additional $25.00 for a mini fridge. Come on guys! I’ve stayed in a Motel 6 when I had no choice and they give you a refrigerator, a microwave, and in some places, a free bottle of water!As for the continental breakfast, which is free in many two star facilities; coffee, tea, a danish and a bagel came to $10.94.

The point is not that I can’t afford it, but that these niceties at a four star facility should be included in the price. As the airlines have proved, nickel-and-diming you to death doesn’t endanger customer loyalty. It’s bad enough I feel raped every time I fly. Now the hotel is going to do me too? Personally, if I wanted to be gang fucked, I’d be gay. Have things really changed that much? I tend not to have this experience in other parts of the country so, in a way, I find this a sad commentary on the DC area. What I want is the America I grew up in; the days when airline bags of peanuts were a full ounce and not barely a hand full.
